Welcome to J.A. Snow Funeral Home

In 1883 John A. Snow opened a funeral home on Argyle Street in Halifax. From that location he served the community for almost ninety years through disasters such as the Titanic disaster and Halifax Explosion. In 1972 John A. Snow great grandson of the founder saw the need to move to a location that would better serve a rapid growing community. In October 1973 a new funeral home was built on Windsor Street. Thirty years later J.A. Snow Funeral Home continues to serve the community with a strong reputation that has made us the place that families turn to in their time of need.

Snow’s Funeral Home offers a variety of services and amenities to choose from. With a large formal Chapel, comfortable viewing rooms, Reception Centre with wheel chair accessibility and ample parking, we strive to meet and exceed the needs of all families we are privileged to serve.
